Trangia pans are available in four different materials, each with its special advantages. The standard stove is made in aluminium. The other stoves are made in Duossal or with a non-stick coating. Titanium pans are available as accessories.

Aluminium is a durable and lightweight material that conducts heat uniformly and quickly, so food does not burn in the centre of the pan. The aluminium stove has a hard surface that protects against scratches and abrasion. Trangia's basic models are made totally of aluminium, a material that has consistently good characteristics. For people who want trouble-free cooking with a stove that lasts for many years.

The non-stick coating gives the ideal surface for frying, and requires little or no cooking fat. It also makes washing up easier, because nothing sticks. Non-stick is slightly more susceptible to scratches and abrasion, so use only wood or plastic utensils. The non-stick coating has high resistance to heat and low friction, and was originally developed by NASA.
For those who want light packs, fuss-free eating and easy washing up.

DUO SS AL – Two Stainless Steel Aluminium – is two materials in one, pressed together under high pressure. Aluminium on the outside for good thermal conductivity, and stainless steel on the inside to make the pans scratch-resistant and hygienic. Duossal pans are both durable and quick to heat up.
A stove for the discriminating cook who wants to prepare food with precision.

Titanium is an optimal material for outdoor pans. It is very strong and durable, so the pans can be made thinner and hence lighter. Titanium conducts heat well, and resists knocks, scratching and abrasion. It is ideal for people who use their stoves frequently, in more extreme conditions, and who are keen to keep weight down. Titanium pans are available as accessories and are not complete stoves.
For adventurers, mountaineers or lifelong travellers who travel light.
